Our investigation has revealed KHIRIMON POOL in Oghu quarter; Ewohimi is rich with abundance of good quality clay for the production of:
- Ceramics,
- Tiles and other clay work
- Although the youth in Oghu quarter has temporarily halt the activities of the Chinese Tiles/Ceramics Company, that’s base in Benin. Just weeks ago they were seen at the site ago.

We are calling for a permanent action to ban the illegal mining
of KHIRIMON POOL OGHU, Ewohimi by
the Chinese, until Esan South East Local Government
Area – in consultation with host community of Oghu, come up with clear plans, as to how the natural resources will
be mine legally, with proper license issue and environmental protection
strictly follow to the latter.
