Update on National Identification Number - (NIN) e-Card


Nigerians in the diaspora, South Africa, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirate can now apply for their National Identification Number - (NIN) e-Card at the Nigeria embassy. 

We wish to inform every Nigerian at the diaspora to stay in touch with Nigeria embassy in their respective country of residence. The service is been expended all the continent of the world.

Nigeria Government has begun the mandatory use of National Identification Number (NIN) to access services to citizens or legal residents of Nigeria across the country.

As we’ve previously reported in 2018, NIMC, that Nigeria will commence the full implementation of strategic roadmap for the enrolment of Nigerians and legal residents into the National Identity Database (NIDB) in 2019.

1 January 2019, Enrollment or collection of data is now mandatory in Nigeria.

If you haven’t enrolled for your National Identification Identity (NIN) e-Card visit: NIMC and enroll online or nearest NIMC office nationwide. 

The Nigerian National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) issued is a MasterCard-branded National Identity Smart Cards with electronic payment capability.
