GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION
OF CONTRACTORS
1.0. PREAMBLE
The
Ministry of Works has received its approved appropriation from the Edo State
Government for year 2017, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to
payments for construction and rehabilitation of roads to be procured under this
budget. This budget will be financed by the Edo State Government.
Procurement
of contracts will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Edo
State Public Procurement Agency’s (EDPPA) Procurement
Procedure Manual, and it is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in
the manual.
Prequalification of contractors
will be required for the construction/rehabilitation of the following
contracts:

QUALIFICATION/ELIGIBILITY
|
|
|
||
Interested eligible Applicants
who wish to be prequalified must meet the following criteria:
- Registration
as a Contractor with Edo State Public Procurement Agency (EDPPA) in any
category of their choice.
-
Registration
with Corporate Affairs Commission.
- Tax
Clearance Certificates of the Tenderer and of at least two (2) Directors of the
Company for the immediate past 3years (i.e. 2014, 2015, 2016).
-
VAT
remittances.
-
Company’s
audited account for the past 3 years.
- Job of
similar nature done in the past 5years (including scope, sites of project,
contract sum) and evidence of successful completion e.g. letter of award and
completion certificate.
- Schedule
of Key Personnel (Technical / Managerial) detailing years of experience,
project supervised/managed/ participated in.

Schedule
of key equipment.

A sworn
affidavit indicating that:

None of the Directors of the Company has been
convicted in any court for any criminal offence including fraud and financial
impropriety.
·
The Company is not in receivership, insolvent or
bankrupt.
·
That all
documents / information provided are authentic
3.0. METHOD
OF APPLICATION
Prequalification
Document are obtained at the address below during office hours of 9.00am and
4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays on submission of written
application and payment of a non-refundable fee of N50,000.00 payable into Edo
State IGR Account with Zenith Bank A/C No. 1130004993. The application for prequalification should be submitted
in clearly marked envlopes and delivered to the address below on or before
12.00noon
of 19th of June, 2017.

5.0. APPLICATION
OPENING DATE
All
submitted applications shall be opened in the presence of all applicants or
their representatives, civil society organizations and other stakeholders in
line with section 29 of the Edo State Public Procurement Law 2012 on 19th of June, 2017 at
12.00noon of the closing date at the office of the Permanent Secretary,
Ministry of Works, Sapele Road, Benin
City.
6.0. NOTE
·
Interested applicants are to visit project site to
and verify the dimension and condition of project(s) of their interest. This
will enable them ascertain their choice category for registration.
·
Applications
are to be prepared in English language.
·
Wrongly placed applications would not be
entertained.
·
All costs incurred as a result of this invitation
and any subsequent request for information shall be borne by the applicant.
·
Late
submission will not be entertained and only successful applicants will be
contacted.
·
This advertisement is published for information
